Each morning I walk to work down the main street of Echoland to the White Horse Hotel, and each morning it’s prettier than the morning before. Roofs covered in snow, front porches completely buried, trees barely able to stand with the weight on their branches, and 1 metre snow walls on the sides of the road. Occasionally as I’m walking, I’m lucky enough to witness the incredible surge as a slab of powdery snow at least a foot deep slides off a rooftop into the huge heap already formed below… the sound it makes as it hits the ground is my favourite part. Hakuba has turned into the most beautiful White Winter Wonderland and I’m still pinching myself to make sure it’s real 🙂
Beautiful Echoland…
