A beautiful day to get married in Hakuba.
During the season I usually see a few wedding parties up on the mountains here in Hakuba. What a wonderful way to exchange your marriage vows or even to renew them.

Must be freezing!
This photo was taken in April on the top of Happo One as I was about to hike up the back ridge. The weather was perfect and I was just in a tshirt during the hike.
I have seen others in January when the temperatures are below freezing and the bridesmaids hold the long coats between photos. It is an amusing site to see the bride and groom skiing or snowboarding down the mountain in the wedding outfits. It certainly makes for a most memorable day.
